The Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in film and media production. This is a full-time, nine-month appointment with a standard teaching assignment of two courses per semester.
The University of Oklahoma Department of Film and Media Studies is an interdisciplinary program in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences that strives, through robust research/creative activities and student-centered teaching, to advance knowledge and understanding of the history, theory, art, craft, practice, and social significance of film, television, and new digital media. We offer an integrated dual-focused curriculum combining critical studies and production, with the goal of educating students to become both critical consumers and creative producers of mass-mediated images and narratives.
The search will remain open until filled with application review beginning November 10, 2023. The position is expected to begin in August 2024.
