STORYLINE
This Southern noir follows a couple from Dougherty, Oklahoma who attempt to assassinate their controversial congressman. The next morning, the couple tries to hide their guilt while having breakfast in the motel lobby, and their victim wakes up in their motel room.
BREAKDOWN OF ROLES
[AMELIA] 20 to 27 years old, all ethnicities woman. An unwilling accomplice to Danny’s plans. Tries to make herself as hidden as possible, but when she speaks, she’s unable to hide her frustration and complicated feelings about her home and Danny. LEAD.
[DANNY] 20 to 27 years old, all ethnicities man. Self-styled hometown hero. Talks himself up because he has to convince himself that he’s in the right. LEAD
[CESAR] 25 to 40 years old, Hispanic man. STUNT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. HISPANIC. A JFK type politician placed in a Die Hard situation. Desperately trying to survive, but his caring heart is not defeated. SUPPORTING
[KARA] 45 to 60 years old, all ethnicities woman. The owner of a cheap but professionally run motel. Beauty of the town in her day but doesn’t rely on her past achievements. Friendly without being vulnerable. SUPPORTING
[MEG] 16-21 years old, all ethnicities woman. High schooler trying to make money to get out of town. Likes Kara and not many others. Her respect is not given easily. SUPPORTING
