Rodeo Cowboy Looks for THE LAST RODEO

Men who look like rodeo cowboys are needed tomorrow and more needed Friday, April 4 and 5, for the feature film THE LAST RODEO. They will be depicted as bull riders and rodeo support workers, but they will not appear actually riding an animal.

Filming is in the Tulsa, OK areal from morning until evening, expected to be no more than 12 hours in the day. 

They will be paid a guarantee of $125 for up to 12 hours of filming each day. Anything over 12 hours will incur overtime. 

The shoot days will be fun and entertaining, with actual rodeo events being filmed.

THE LAST RODEO is a family film about Joe Cartwright, a former professional bull rider who is pushing 50. When he is faced with a dire emergency for his grandson Cody, he realizes he has to ride one more time. His headstrong daughter Sally has always had a fraught relationship with Joe. The idea of her dad risking his life to save her son is a choice no woman would envy. And Joe’s willingness to potentially make the ultimate sacrifice for his family, forces him to confront his own demons, beliefs and faith.

The film stars Neal McDonough (BAND OF BROTHERS, SUITS, YELLOWSTONE), Mykleti Williams (FORREST GUMP, FENCES, HEAT) and Christopher McDonald (HACKS, QUIZ SHOW, THELMA & LOUISE)

The film is directed by Jon Avnet, director of such projects as FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, JUSTIFIED, THE STARTER WIFE and BOOMTOWN, and producer of such projects as BLACK SWAN, SNEAKY PETE, RISKY BUSINESS and many more.

The film is produced by Kip Konwiser , Avnet, McDonough, Ruve McDonough. Casting is by Chris Freihofer of Freihofer Casting.

BREAKDOWN OF EXTRAS

RODEO WORKERS – Males, 20s-50, any ethnicity. They need to look comfortable on the floor of a rodeo arena, so cowboys or country looks would be great. Must be available Thursday, April 4 AND Friday, April 5.

FRIDAY COWBOYS – Males, 20s, any ethnicity, athletic and in good shape. hey will be depicting bull riders between rides and must available to film Friday April 5.
