Fifth Annual Made in Oklahoma Festival

The Made in Oklahoma (MIO) Wine, Beer and Food Festival, along with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), announce the music lineup for the MIO Festival, which will take place June 4, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center. In the festival’s fifth year, MIO and OF+MO held an open call for entries for the third annual “Live from the Lawn” music series, having an outstanding response with more than 135 artists apply. The “Live from the Lawn” event showcases the homegrown talent produced by Oklahoma artists and provides bands an opportunity to gain exposure while networking with business owners.

“It’s hard to believe this is our fifth anniversary for Made in Oklahoma Festival,” said MIO Partnership Director Chris Moler. “Each year the festival grows thanks in part to our partners like OF+MO. We were so excited to see so many talented Oklahoma artists submit to perform and we love the diverse styles of music that we have selected to perform on our two stages. There is so much to do at the Made in Oklahoma festival and all we can say is come out, plan to be there a while and bring lots of friends and family.”

The indoor stage will feature Daniel Walcher, Scott Musick, Stephen Salewon, The Indigos, Carter Sampson and Mark Gibson; while the outdoor stage will feature Nicnos, Alaska & Madi, The Notionaries, Scott AF, Annie Oakley, Jared Deck and Kelli Lynn and the Skillet Lickers. For show times, please visit the MIO entertainment page.

“OF+MO is proud to be a co-presenting sponsor of the third annual ‘Live from the Lawn’ event at the Midwest City Made in Oklahoma festival,” said OF+MO Deputy Director Lindsey Flowers. “Since its inception, ‘Live from the Lawn’ has grown substantially, and we are pleased to present such an outstanding lineup of Oklahoma talent at this year’s festival.”

The MIO Festival offers an extensive variety of wine and beer samples from local producers as well as food tastings and culinary delights from several of Oklahoma’s premier restaurants. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop the unique selection of merchandise, products and art from several Made in Oklahoma vendors as well as participate in culinary presentations, The Great Grilled Cheese Challenge, Cruisin’ with Cops car show and Wine and Palette art classes.

Admission is free for the festival. Commemorative festival glassware and 10 tasting tokens can be purchased for $20. Fees will apply to participate in the Grilled Cheese Challenge and the Wine & Palette class. For more information about MIO, please visit
