Oklahoma Film + Music Office Joins Born & Raised Music Festival as Official Partner

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), a division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, is proud to support the Born & Raised Music Festival for the first time as an official partner. This celebrated country and Red Dirt festival, taking place September 10-13, annually draws thousands of fans to Pryor, Okla., and will feature an impressive lineup including Cody Jinks, Parker McCollum, Treaty Oak Revival and many more.

“Oklahoma’s country and Red Dirt roots are an essential part of our state’s musical identity,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “Born & Raised not only showcases some of the most well-known names in the genre but also gives a platform to artists whose work continues to inspire audiences and strengthen Oklahoma’s music industry.”

The festival kicks off Wednesday, September 10, with an all-Oklahoma artist showcase featuring Cody Canada and the Departed, Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, the Mike McClure Band and Smokin’ Oaks. Admission to the kickoff event is free with the purchase of a weekend festival ticket.

Through this new partnership, OF+MO is helping support the festival’s local musicians and Artist Lounge, creating more opportunities for Oklahoma talent to connect, collaborate and gain industry visibility.

“Pryor Creek’s Born and Raised Festival is more than just great music and community…it’s a powerful economic boost for our city,” said Pryor Mayor Zac Doyle. “These music festivals bring visitors, business and a special vibe to not only Pryor and the northeast Oklahoma region, but they set us apart as a distinguished hub for music entertainment within the state of Oklahoma. Born and Raised highlights our community’s unique spirit while fueling Pryor’s growth. We want all our visitors to know we welcome them and we are OPEN FOR BUSINESS!”

“Year five of Born & Raised looks to be one of the biggest ones yet and we are so happy to be partnering with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office. Over the years this festival has attracted Red Dirt fans from all over the country and is proud to have featured so many great acts from Oklahoma along the way such as Zach Bryan, Wyatt Flores, Kaitlin Butts and more,” festival founders Mark Nurssle and Dave Giencke commented. “This year’s event is extra special as we have created a kick-off concert with the Green Country Chevy Dealers called ‘Okla-Homegrown,’ which will feature all Oklahoma artists. We couldn’t be more proud of what we have created and look forward to sharing it with our fans each year.”
