The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is thrilled to announce the addition of a newly certified soundstage, Stormfront Studios. Based in Tulsa, Stormfront Studios is the seventh certified soundstage in the state, achieving certification per the requirements of the state’s film incentive program, the Filmed in Oklahoma Act of 2021.
The facility features a 6,000-square-foot open soundstage with a loading bay and an attached 2,000-square-foot staging and scene shop. The stage is equipped with industry-standard acoustic treatment, a floating wood floor for set construction and customizable standing sets designed to accommodate a wide range of productions. Stormfront also offers a versatile 2,600-square-foot flex stage with a translucent ceiling for natural light and a cyclorama wall, making it ideal for a variety of projects.
“We feel incredibly honored to become the seventh certified soundstage in the State of Oklahoma,” says co-owners J. Søren Viuf and Yelena Krivosheyeva. “After spending many years building our filmmaking careers in Los Angeles, we’re grateful to come back to Oklahoma and be part of a thriving and rapidly growing film industry. Our goal is to create a space that is accessible, flexible and welcoming to productions of every size and budget because we know firsthand how intimidating and out of reach traditional soundstages can feel. As independent filmmakers ourselves, we built Stormfront Studios to be a creative hub for Oklahoma’s artistic community – a place where storytellers at every level can create, collaborate and thrive. That’s what Stormfront is all about – it was created by filmmakers FOR filmmakers.”
Beyond the stages, Stormfront Studios provides comprehensive production support, including production offices, a conference room, green room, hair & makeup, wardrobe space, kitchen, gated parking and other essential amenities. The post-production control room and audio suite are fully equipped for post-production services.
“We are excited to see the continued infrastructure growth and momentum happening throughout the state, and we congratulate Stormfront Studios on all they’ve accomplished thus far,” says Jeanette Stanton, Director of OF+MO. “The addition of Stormfront Studios as a certified soundstage and their thoughtful collaborations throughout the community are a testament to our valuable film ecosystem and the subsequent opportunity for further business development and economic impact throughout the state.”
