ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Assists in outbound or inbound marketing activities including content development and optimization, advertising, and event planning.
- Collaborates with internal departments to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
- Maintains frequent and consistent communication with internal departments to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of needs, issues, and opportunities.
- Assists proofreading content across different mediums.
- Collaborates with social/digital media staff to generate content ideas which support marketing initiatives.
- Plans and executes events that promote Cherokee Film in collaboration with CED Marketing and the Cherokee Film Outreach Specialist.
- Represents the organization at industry events and oversees booths at conferences and speaking engagements.
- Collaborates with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs.
- Assists with planning and executing initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels.
- Assists in analyzing marketing data to shape future marketing strategies.
- Understands and communicates information regarding target audience, market trends and competition.
- Maintains projects within Cherokee Film marketing budgets.
- Creates and distributes monthly Cherokee Film newsletter.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field and two (2) to five (5) years of advertising and/or marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Account management experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple products.
- Working knowledge of marketing programs and practices including advertising, media, and social media.
- Excellent written, communication, presentation, and computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; must be results oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate discussion and drive decision making.
- Ability to ask probing questions; clarify and confirm responses to ensure complete understanding.
- Ability to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- General knowledge of the film & tv industry preferred.
- General knowledge of economic development strategies preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work may require travel, including overnight stays.
