Featured Location for November 2015: El Reno

Less than 30 miles from Oklahoma City in Canadian County, the City of El Reno affords filmmakers the opportunity to capture historic, small town charm with easy access to a major metropolitan production hub. OF+MO was recently invited to learn more about the community and scout the area by Victoria Lee, a representative of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce and owner of the local store The Junkyard Diva. Lee recently provided antique props and furniture from her store to set dress one of the primary locations for the film “Great Plains”, which just wrapped production in the state.

While in El Reno, OF+MO was able to update a number of our existing locations as well as add new businesses and sites to the guide including The Junkyard Diva, Cosmo’s, Touch of Classes, Iron Tree Coffee, Blu 99 and the Oklahoma Vintage Guitar Shop and Museum. OF+MO wishes to thank Victoria for her outreach, film-friendly support, and introduction to new contacts in the area.

If you are interested in showcasing your community or featuring your location in the Oklahoma Locations Directory, please contact Yousef Kazemi at Yousef.Kazemi@TravelOK.com.
