The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is thrilled to announce the addition of a newly certified soundstage, Emerge Studio. Located in the film friendly certified City of Collinsville, Emerge Studios is the sixth certified soundstage in the state achieving certification per the requirements of the state’s film incentive program, the Filmed in Oklahoma Act of 2021.
Emerge Studios is conveniently located in Northeast Oklahoma within the Cherokee Nation in short proximity to Tulsa and Broken Arrow, making it an ideal location for filmmakers utilizing the state’s incentive program, as well as the stackable incentive programs within this region. The 40,000 square foot film production facility was established last year and is the first municipally owned studio in the state, further emphasizing the city’s film friendly approach. The studio features one soundstage with plenty of production office space and a forthcoming post-production room.
“This studio reflects who we are, a community committed to innovation and economic development,” City Manager Chuck Ralls said. “Emerge Studio allows us to invest in creativity, tell new stories and build a more diverse local economy.”
The opening of Emerge Studio marks a major milestone in Collinsville’s vision to blend innovation, education and economic development—proving that the future of film isn’t limited to big cities. “The Lowdown,” “The Last Rodeo” and “Possessions” are just a few of the productions that have recently filmed in Collinsville.
“We are excited to see this development come out of the City of Collinsville,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “Emerge Studios is the latest example of Oklahoma’s growing infrastructure and advancement, making both the state and our communities formidable partners for the film and television industry.”
