The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) returns as partner for the 2026 Spring Season of the University of Oklahoma’s (OU) Resonance Series, which will welcome a selection of internationally renowned music talent to the state. In connection with OU’s Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts’ School of Music, Resonance events will take place in Norman with select Oklahoma City engagements providing free music education opportunities and performances for both students and the general public.
“We are so excited to bring these world-class artists to Oklahoma to share their unbelievable stories, passion for the arts and raw talent with our community,” said Eric Walschap, Resonance Series Coordinator. “The Spring 2026 Resonance Series will eclipse 100 guests since starting in 2020.”
Taking place Feb. through April, the Spring Resonance Series will showcase a total of six award-winning musicians who will provide over 30 free events as follows:
- Feb. 21 – Jim Riley, six-time winner of the “Best Country Drummer” and four-time GRAMMY-nominated drummer for Rascal Flatts.
- Feb. 23-24 – Austin Wintory, GRAMMY and BAFTA award-winning composer for video games and films, with credits including Sword of the Sea and Fortnite.
- March 10-11 – Philip Lassiter, 11-time GRAMMY-winning band leader and trumpet/section leader/arranger for Prince, Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey and more.
- April 3 – Haleh Liza Gafori, acclaimed vocalist, performance artist and poet.
- April 6-7 – Steve Smith, voted top 25 drummer of all time, is the drummer for Journey and has been voted #1 All-Around Drummer five times.
- April 19-21 – Terrell Stafford, considered one of the greatest trumpet players of all time, has appeared on over 130 albums.
