Join the Oklahoma Film & Music Office at Norman Music Festival 2026

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to return as a sponsor for the 2026 Norman Music Festival. In its 18th year as one of Oklahoma’s largest free music festivals, this event takes place in the heart of Norman April 23-25.

OF+MO will host a panel discussion, The Science of Songwriting, to kick off the festival on Thursday, April 23. This panel brings together working songwriters and industry professionals to break down how songs are created—from first spark to final production. Panelists will share their creative processes, collaboration habits and how songs are shaped for artists, audiences, film and visual media. Attendees will gain insight into storytelling through music, writing for different formats and navigating the business behind the craft. The panel will be moderated by Shari Jackson, Executive Director of the Norman Music Alliance, featuring panelists Jordan Cain, Casii Stephen and Danny Davis. This FREE panel is open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Sooner Theatre in Norman.

“We are excited to partner with Norman Music Fest again this year,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “Oklahoma’s music industry continues to shine from our storied history and legendary talent to our rising stars making a name for themselves in the heartland as festivals like these create real opportunities to grow and build a successful career right here in our state.”

Since 2008, Norman Music Festival has focused on a mission to make music festivals free and accessible. To further support the local music industry, the festival has some new additions this year, including hosting its first music expo on Friday and Saturday. The expo will enhance the overall experience of everyone in attendance providing ways for individuals to connect with business, professionals and resources within the music industry here in Oklahoma.

“Norman Music Festival is built by and for the community,” said Jackson. “It’s a space where local creativity thrives, national talent converges, and everyone from businesses to fans to volunteers – plays a part in something bigger than themselves. Each year, we are amazed by the spirit this festival brings to the Walker Arts District in Downtown Norman.”

Featuring over 40 international, national and local artists, the festival highlights a variety of genres. This year’s lineup includes Momma, Ben Quad, Hayden Pedigo, Crys Matthew, Baileyboy, Kid Lennon, Cure for Paranoia, Evening Elephants, Stepmom and more.
