Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to support the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, now in its 28th year. This year’s festival will take place July 9–12 in Woody Guthrie’s hometown of Okemah, Okla.
The 2025 festival will open with An Evening with Hayes Carll and Evan Felker on Wednesday, July 9. Sarah Lee Guthrie, granddaughter of Woody Guthrie, will perform an opening set. Additional confirmed performers include John Moreland, BJ Barham, Red Dirt Rangers, Kyshona, Margo Cilker, Jaimee Harris, Aaron Lee Tasjan and Pony Bradshaw.
In addition to live music, WoodyFest will again feature a wide range of free educational programming from voices, including Tamara Logsdon, the Bob Dylan Center, Deana McCloud, Chad Cochran, Barry Ollman, Dr. Hugh Foley and the Woody Guthrie Center, among others. Free family-friendly programming will continue with the return of the Children’s Festival at Okemah’s City Park on Saturday, July 12, offering a variety of free activities for kids of all ages.
“The festival continues to grow in scope and reach, while staying grounded in Woody’s vision of music as a force for connection and community,” said Festival Director Randy Norman.
“The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival has served as a staple in Oklahoma music for almost three decades, and we’re happy to support everyone who has worked so hard to keep it going and the immense music talent it brings to Okemah,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton.
