The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), a division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, is proud to co-support Riversport OKC’s NightWater Music Series alongside the Oklahoma City Film & Creative Industries Office (OKCFCIO). This summer music series will run every Thursday June 5 to August 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Riversport OKC.
NightWater is a family-friendly event showcasing some of the state’s most talented musicians with additional activities, including rafting, tubing and surfing and food provided by Big Water Grill. This year’s performance lineup is listed below and includes a variety of artists.
“Oklahoma’s rich musical roots go deep and cross many genres. The phrase, ‘there is something in the water here,’ referring to our state’s significant cultural influences, takes on a new meaning with the launch of Riversport’s OKC NightWater Music Series.” said Jill Simpson, Executive Director of OKCFCIO. “My office is proud to be a participating sponsor for the summer series featuring so many of our brightest talents performing on the shores of the Oklahoma River.”
“We are thrilled that Riversport is celebrating Oklahoma music through this series,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “These events help champion local musicians and serves as a significant opportunity to further engage community and economic development through music, tourism and recreational industry collaborations.”
With live music and events scheduled in the evening hours, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The events are free and open to the public. More information can be found on the Riversport OKC website.
