The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to return for a second year alongside the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture (Tulsa FMAC) to co-present The Oklahoma Stage: Live from AMERICANAFEST on Wednesday, September 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at ACME Feed & Seed.
“Oklahoma’s music scene continues to thrive thanks to the creativity and dedication of our artists,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “Events like The Oklahoma Stage at AMERICANAFEST give us an incredible platform to share our state’s talent with new audiences and build lasting industry connections.”
“Celebrating American music means celebrating Oklahoma music,” commented Meg Gould, Executive Director of Tulsa FMAC. “From the first notes of the Tulsa Sound to the cutting-edge artists that call the state home today, Oklahoma is in the DNA of America’s music history, and being able to bring our profoundly talented musicians in front of a national audience raises their profile and the state’s as well.”
The lineup features performances from some of Oklahoma’s most talented musicians, including The Imaginaries, a husband and wife duo who have gained national attention; Ramsey Thornton, a soulful singer-songwriter blending folk and indie influences; and Mallory Eagle, whose forthcoming release builds on her signature country-rock style.
“I want to continue to capture the roots and spirit of Oklahoma in my creative voice and music,” said Eagle. “The prairie holds a special place in my heart and soul. Seeing Oklahoma grow and expand in our creative communities is a beautiful thing to be a part of.”
AMERICANAFEST brings together fans and industry professionals alike for a celebration of American roots music through nightly showcase performances, business panels, networking opportunities and one-of-a-kind special events across Nashville, Tenn.
Highlighting and celebrating Oklahoma’s growing music initiatives, The Oklahoma Stage: Live from AMERICANAFEST is open to both the public and AMERICANAFEST badge holders.
