The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) congratulates the Oklahomans and Oklahoma-connected artists recognized among the nominees for the 68th GRAMMY® Awards, announced this month by the Recording Academy.
This year’s nominations once again highlight the reach and impact of Oklahoma’s music community across multiple genres — from country to classical to global sounds — showcasing the exceptional talent that continues to represent our state on the national and international stage.
Reba McEntire
Country music icon Reba McEntire earned her 18th GRAMMY® nomination in the category of Best Country Duo or Group Performance for her collaboration with Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert on the song “Trailblazer.” McEntire, a native of Chockie, Oklahoma, has previously won three GRAMMY® Awards (1987, 1994 and 2018).
Kitt Wakeley
Composer and producer Kitt Wakeley of Edmond, originally from Holdenville, continues his winning streak with a nomination in the Best Classical Compendium category for his album Se7en Seasons. Wakeley a two-time GRAMMY® winner, first won in 2023 (Best Classical Compendium) and again in 2024 (Best Global Music Album) as a producer of Matt B’s ALKEBULAN II.
Additional nominations for projects featuring Wakeley and fellow Oklahoma collaborators Christina Giacona, Patrick Conlon and Patti Drennan include:

- Shayan – Best Contemporary Instrumental Album
Other Oklahoma Connections
- Kristin Chenoweth, originally from Broken Arrow, is featured on “One Short Day” from the “Wicked” soundtrack, which was also nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category.
- J Balvin, who spent time as a high school exchange student in Atoka, earned a nomination for Best Música Urbana Album for Mixteip.
- Ryan Tedder, Tulsa native and frontman of OneRepublic, co-wrote and co-produced two songs featured on F1 The Album, nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
The 68th Annual GRAMMY® Awards ceremony will take place in February 2026.
