Are there any recent successes your company would like to highlight related to work within the Oklahoma film and music industries?
In recent years, we’ve experienced meaningful growth that directly supports the needs of Oklahoma’s film industry. We’ve been blessed to purchase a new commercial kitchen, acquire an additional food trailer that allows us to operate fully on-set and establish a second location in Oklahoma City. These milestones have strengthened our ability to serve productions more efficiently, respond quickly to changing schedules and support larger crews across multiple regions of the state. Each step has been taken with intention, ensuring we continue to grow in a way that benefits both the productions we serve and the film community as a whole.
What are you working on now/next?
We’re currently focused on expanding our on-set capabilities and strengthening our systems to support larger and more complex productions. This includes fully integrating our new commercial kitchen and food trailer, growing our Oklahoma City presence, and continuing to refine our menus, workflows and craft service offerings. Looking ahead, our goal is to scale thoughtfully—adding capacity, investing in our team and equipment and remaining flexible so we can continue to meet the evolving needs of Oklahoma’s growing film industry while delivering the consistent, high-quality service we’re known for.
What is your goal/vision for the future of your company?
Our vision is to continue building Osiyo Catering into a trusted, production-ready partner not only in Oklahoma, but nationwide. As we grow, our goal is to expand our reach while maintaining the heart of what makes us who we are—thoughtful food, reliable service and genuine care for the crews we serve. We aim to scale intentionally by investing in our people, infrastructure and systems, allowing us to support productions of all sizes across the country while remaining rooted in the values and craftsmanship that built our company.
What advice do you have for others who are considering starting a film or music business in Oklahoma?
Our advice is to start with humility, consistency and a deep respect for the industry. Oklahoma’s film community is collaborative but close-knit, and your reputation will travel quickly—so show up prepared, be reliable and take care of people. Learn the pace of production, understand the long hours and build systems that can handle change without panic. Invest in relationships with local crew, vendors and film offices, and don’t rush growth before your foundation is solid. Oklahoma rewards businesses that are committed, adaptable and willing to grow alongside the industry, not just profit from it.
What opportunities do you believe await Oklahoma’s film/music industry in the future?
We see Oklahoma’s film industry evolving into a true creative home—a place where productions don’t just pass through, but put down roots. As infrastructure, talent and local businesses continue to grow, Oklahoma has the opportunity to become a nationally recognized hub for filmmaking that supports long-term careers, not just individual projects. The collaborative spirit here allows for innovation, mentorship and sustainability, creating space for new voices and bold storytelling. The future feels expansive, and I believe Oklahoma is positioned to build something lasting that benefits both the industry and the communities that support it.
