Featured Location for February 2018: Lake Thunderbird State Park

With nearly 2,000 acres of wooded terrain and sandy shores, Lake Thunderbird State Park offers filmmakers and outdoor enthusiasts a wide range of scenic landscapes and a number of outdoor activities. Equestrian, hiking and mountain biking trails provide opportunities for adventure on-land while others may opt to take advantage of the park’s water activities as the site boasts two swim beaches and other areas that allow for canoeing, kayaking, rafting fishing and boating. Lake Thunderbird State Park has helped set the scene for a number of productions, including the short film “Running Deer” (2013) and the feature film “Painted Woman” (2017), which was released on DVD and streaming platforms this month.
