OF+MO to Sponsor Inaugural Turner Falls Red Dirt Music Festival

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), a division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, is proud to sponsor the inaugural Turner Falls Red Dirt Music Festival to be held at Turner Falls Park in Davis, Okla., Saturday, October 14, at 2 p.m.

Presented by the City of Davis and Turner Falls Park, over 3,000 attendees are anticipated to attend the family-friendly event which will feature a stellar line-up of Red Dirt musicians as well as a number of additional activities including local food and beverage trucks. With live music and events scheduled throughout the evening hours, guests are encouraged to dress for the day’s predicted fall temperatures and bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The Turner Falls Red Dirt Music Festival will feature performances from many local talents including Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Kylie Morgan, Cam Allen, James Robert Webb, Emily Rhyne and the TJ Todd Band with Seminole-based company T-N-T Stage and Sound providing live event services. General admission tickets are $35 and gates for entry to the park open at 12 p.m.

“The City of Davis and Turner Falls are thrilled to welcome everyone to Turner Falls Park and our Red Dirt Music Festival,” said City of Davis Community Services Manager Stacey Harness. “We’ve put together an amazing Oklahoma-centric line-up and know those attending will have a great day.”

“We’re excited to support the City of Davis as they launch this exciting music initiative in their region,” said OF+MO Director Jeanette Stanton. “Not only is this event a celebration of Oklahoma’s own Red Dirt music genre and local talent, but an amazing way for audiences to experience music among the backdrop of one of our state’s most beautiful outdoor destinations, Turner Falls. We hope this will be among the first of many innovative ways communities like Davis can work to utilize some of their greatest assets to create opportunities for music and film which in turn drive more economic impact to these cities.”
