The Film Education Institute of Oklahoma (FEIO) is gearing up to produce their semi-annual Film Production Workshop, which will take place in Oklahoma City December 27-30.
FEIO’s workshop is an opportunity for those who want to take their knowledge from the classroom to a film set. The workshop provides students with the opportunity to get their hands on industry standard equipment while learning under the guidance of industry professionals. Along with tips and tricks the instructors picked up over the years, the workshop allows students to network with others in the industry who could become their colleagues or bosses. Each of the instructors are established in Oklahoma, travel for productions and are seasoned in their careers. They have years of combined experience on some of the largest productions here in Oklahoma and around the world.
“Here at the FEIO, we are all about finding ways to engage students with new creative opportunities,” said Trevor Rogers, Executive Director of FEIO. “Our workshops continue to provide an experience to students not found anywhere else. We are so excited and grateful to be working alongside Oklahoma City Public Schools as we bring this one-of-kind learning opportunity directly to their students.”

In addition, FEIO is looking for four individuals to intern throughout pre-production to wrap of this workshop. The internship will be for about three college credits, at 120 hours over the span of three weeks, December 13-31. Interns will be given the position as a production-office PA and work alongside the FEIO central team. To apply to be an intern in their production office, fill out this form.
